I really love IM. Before I send an email, I check on IM to see if the person is online. If they are, I just send a quick IM rather than email. It seems like instant gratification to me when I get an immediate response. There are times though when I am in the middle of a conversation, and I get tired of typing that I just pick up the phone and call.
I enjoyed looking at the list of abbreviations. I had no idea there were so many. If you don't use them often they could get really confusing. They were very interesting.
